I write monsters who are dangerous to everyone except the person they love. Orcs who have never been touched with kindness. Demons who make excellent housekeepers. A minotaur with strong opinions about barbecue. One sentient houseplant, who I stand by completely.

The rules are simple and I don't break them: high heat, enthusiastic consent, no cliffhangers, and a happily ever after every single time. You will never finish one of my books wondering whether they made it. They made it.
